About

Brave is on a mission to protect the human right to privacy online. We’ve built a free web browser that blocks creepy ads and trackers by default, a private search engine with a truly independent index, a browser-native crypto wallet, and a private ad network (opt-in!) that directly rewards you for your attention. And we’re just getting started. Already 50 million people have switched to Brave for a faster, more private web. Millions more switch every month.

The internet is a sea of invasive ads and echo chambers. Big Tech makes huge profits off our data, and tells us what’s true and what’s not. Brave is fighting back. Join us!

Summary

Brave is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own marketing strategy for the Brave Browser, Brave Rewards, and the Creators program. As the PMM for these areas, you will define launch plans, execute go-to-market functions, and manage ongoing campaigns to drive continued adoption and engagement of our product. This is a highly cross-functional role, coordinating with Product, Engineering, Design, and PR. The right candidate should be comfortable operating at both highly strategic and tactical levels, and effortlessly switching between them. They should ground their work in audience insights, and be comfortable researching the needs of browser users, across all platforms.

Core responsibilities

  • Be the voice for existing and future Brave browser users; drive market research and qualitative user feedback to inform future product roadmaps and launches. Contribute to the product dev cycle with a deep understanding of user pain points and their needs
  • Define comprehensive GTM strategies for new launches with a clearly defined value proposition and messaging across owned and outbound channels
  • Partner with the design team, along with vendors and agencies, to translate user needs into effective messaging and creative assets
  • Manage complex launches and recurring post-launch programs & marketing campaigns that continue to drive product education and adoption
  • Drive overall adoption of the Brave browser, and ongoing usage of core features like Brave Rewards.
  • Engage the creator community (e.g. Twitch, YouTube, etc) to drive awareness of—and engagement with—Brave and its products

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience in a B2C corporate or tech startup environment
  • Experience driving product marketing throughout a product's lifecycle: mapping out target personas, identifying product-market fit, driving adoption via organic channels for bottom-line impact
  • Comfort analyzing—and aggregating—KPIs like DAU / MAU
  • Thought leadership and proficiency in the overall browser & creators space
  • Desire to engage with customers and understand their needs
  • Proven ability to translate market research into useful messaging frameworks that drive adoption, and distill difficult technical concepts
  • Data-driven, analytical problem-solver with a strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized, able to manage interdependent, complex projects and keep various work streams on track
  • Top-notch communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational abilities
  • Grasp of essential technical concepts underlying the Web
  • Strong sensibilities around privacy and understanding of Brave’s positions on it

Bonus points:

  • Passion for the Brave brand and for the creators community
  • Knowledge of the digital privacy landscape, and the Web3 movement
  • Experience working with Web browsers or related platform technologies

Working at Brave

  • Industry-leader in privacy, with a research and engineering team that’s innovating everyday to keep people safer online and beat Big Tech
  • Highly competitive salaries & benefits, and generous home-office stipends
  • Fully remote team (no office, no commute)
  • Welcoming, humble, ridiculously smart teammates, and a truly flat org structure
  • Opportunity to get in early at a hyper-growth company, and revolutionize the web
  • Oh, and did we mention Brendan, our CEO & co-founder, invented JavaScript?
