Janusea is seeking a VP of Product and Systems to join our team! The VP of Product and Systems will take a hands-on approach to our software development process. This role requires a deep understanding of software development needs, tickets, and the ability to define and prioritize work for our business clients and development team. You will facilitate and guide our FinTech software development teams with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework. The VP of Product and Systems will develop processes for maturing product documentation, development processes, and complete development work to enhance and implement the product.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• **Product Development**: Oversee the entire product development process, from initial concept to final release.
• **Defining Dev work tickets and Impediment Removal**: Actively identify vague requests, refine roadmap ticket/issue requests, and remove impediments that obstruct the dev team’s ability to achieve their goals.
• **Scrum Facilitation**: Facilitate Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• **Team Collaboration**: Foster a collaborative environment where open communication, decision-making, and collective problem-solving can occur.
• **Backlog Management**: Assist the Product Owner with managing the product backlog, ensuring that items are prepared for the upcoming sprints.
• **Process Improvement**: Promote continuous improvement and help the team to increase productivity, deliver high-quality software, and maximize efficiency. Maturing the product documentation and development processes.
• **Coaching**: Coach the team members in Agile frameworks, holding them accountable for delivery, and helping them implement and adapt processes to maximize efficiency.
• **Client Interaction**: Regularly interact with clients to gather detailed requirements for new features and improvements.
• **Performance Tracking and Reporting**: Monitor and report on product performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A Computer Science, Engineering degree or a Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) is preferred.
• Proven experience in product management, preferably in the Fintech sector and system-to-system integrations and APIs.
• Strong technical understanding of development, triage for roadmap clarity, and software development and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles and practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with the financial banking industry, and credit union core systems is preferred.
  
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to pay close attention to details.
  
• Primarily work remotely with limited travel.
