Technical Writer

About the job:

We are hiring a technical writer who will be responsible for producing thoughtful content about crypto, decentralized finance, our customers, and our products: EVM and Rollup. You may be working on several projects simultaneously at any given time. We expect you to have a deep interest in new decentralized technology platforms (such as Ethereum and Solana). You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Solana and help shape the presence and brand of Neon.

About Neon Labs:

Neon is an early-stage startup with a Product-market fit. The Neon team consists of experienced founders, product and marketing experts, software engineers, and builders who bring a deep understanding of crypto. We come from diverse professional backgrounds and are continuously looking to add individuals who are passionate about blockchains and DeFi, and who are eager to tackle challenging tasks on a daily basis. You will enter a highly motivated team. Fostering a diverse and inclusive environment is top of mind. Our international team is 100% remote. We are working closely with the Solana core team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the strategy, creation, and execution of thought-leadership content; Contribute to one or several open-source projects; Work in close collaboration with our co-founders to create an excellent experience for our audiences; Ensure that all business narratives and messages are in support of the content strategies and editorial decisions of the founders in our incubation programs.

Skills and Qualifications:

Comfortable with Medium and active on Twitter; Ability to engage with the crypto community and varying audiences on technical subjects; Passion for learning about decentralized finance and open source technologies; Ability to use creativity and judgment to resolve professional, technical, or operational problems; Demonstrate people skills that contribute to an open and collaborative environment; Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have:

Background in marketing, communications, journalism, English, public relations, information technology, psychology, business administration, international relations, law, or any related field; Prior experience in a communications role; Ability to collect, summarize, and analyze metrics to measure content performance and audience engagement; Existing contributions in the decentralized finance space.
