While sports is a huge $440B industry, fans are relegated to a passive experience. Whether you spectate, gamble, game, or play fantasy sports, you're stuck interacting with the outer edges of the sports, never able to impact the outcome of a game. In fact, it's the owners and players who end up capturing the value, not fans like us. We're changing that — using NFTs. By turning the core asset of our sport — its players — into NFTs that fans can own/trade/stake, we're making it possible to directly influence the outcome of a game and capture the value that a team owner would. We want to lower the barrier so that everyone can be a team owner, not just millionaires and billionaires. We're delivering this experience through a basketball game. Basketball is the fastest growing major sport, has a global footprint, and enjoys strong appeal amongst the 18-34 demographic. We're also big basketball fans!
