Staff Software Engineer - MetaMask (New Networks)

This role offers the chance to contribute to a leading Web3 platform, extending and enhancing MetaMask to new blockchain networks. You will work on both browser and mobile applications, shaping the experiences of millions of users while tackling the technical complexities of decentralized systems. • Accountabilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain new features for MetaMask across browser and mobile platforms.
• Extend the platform to support new blockchain networks, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to unify and enhance user experiences across multiple applications.
• Build and maintain RPC API interfaces and other backend services to support network interactions.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making processes.
• Ensure software quality through testing, linting, and adherence to coding standards.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience with web and mobile technologies.
• Hands-on experience building RPC API interfaces.
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including multiple architectures (especially Non-EVM chains).
• Experience in agile development teams and building medium to large-scale applications.
• Proficiency in building and consuming APIs, with familiarity in Continuous Integration practices.
• Solid understanding of web security threats and prevention techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Bonus: experience with Bitcoin, React Native, Objective C, Swift, or Web3 wallets.
