About Magna

Magna is building software infrastructure for the largest and most innovative networks/protocols in the web3 space and is relied upon by top VC funds. Our flagship product is “Carta for Web3”, a platform to automate managing and distributing digital assets (tokens) according to custom logic to incentivize investors and network participants. This year alone, we’ve grown our platform to over 2 billion dollars (USD) worth of digital assets managed, scaled our app to hundreds of thousands of users, and captured meaningful recurring revenue along the way.

We’re a team of ~15 in NYC & Europe backed by Y-Combinator, Tiger Global, and the biggest names in the space (Tusk Ventures, Circle, Galaxy Digital, Solana Ventures, Polygon Ventures, GSR, Tower Research, and many more). The Role

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer who also has strong product instincts—someone who thrives on defining product direction, iterating quickly, and shipping features that balance elegance and utility. You’ll operate like a designer–product manager hybrid, collaborating closely with engineers, PMs, and leadership to translate fuzzy ideas into user-centric solutions. You won’t just hand off files; you’ll own projects end-to-end, from initial research and concepting through launch and iteration, and elevate the level of craftsmanship in our product.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to Product Direction

  • Partner with leadership to shape Magna’s roadmap and help decide what we build next, ensuring design excellence is front and center in every discussion.

  • Combine user insights, market trends, and product analytics to prioritize impactful features.

• Lead End-to-End Design Projects

  • Kick off initiatives by clarifying user needs, brainstorming with teammates, and sketching out early concepts.

  • Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity visuals that balance clarity, usability, and brand consistency.

  • Prototype quickly in Figma (or your tool of choice), gather feedback internally and externally, and iterate fast.

• Collaborate Like Crazy

  • Sit alongside engineers to define scope, clarify technical requirements, and smooth out any feasibility bumps.

  • Jump into product discussions—help write specs, refine acceptance criteria, and ensure everything is ready for dev handoff.

  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and design critiques, maintaining tight feedback loops.

• Ship, Learn, Iterate

  • Work with product, engineering, and QA to ensure features launch smoothly and meet our quality standards.

  • Analyze user behavior and collect qualitative feedback post-launch to refine or extend features.

  • Advocate for continuous improvements, whether it’s fixing small UX issues or pushing forward new ideas.

• Elevate Design Culture

  • Set a high bar for craft and attention to detail; champion practices that ensure Magna’s product remains polished and intuitive.

  • Mentor and guide other team members—designers, PMs, engineers—in user experience best practices.

  • Help grow the design team by contributing to hiring, onboarding, and shaping how we do design at Magna.

What We Look For

• 4+ years of end-to-end product design experience in a fast-paced environment (startup, tech company, or product-focused agency).

• A deep portfolio showcasing exceptional product thinking, beautifully crafted interfaces, and user-friendly flows.

• Product Mindset: You’re as comfortable shaping strategy and writing user stories as you are perfecting pixels.

• Strong Communication: You can articulate design decisions to anyone—engineers, leadership, or end users—and you actively seek out diverse feedback.

• Fast Iteration: You thrive in a culture of prototypes, experiments, and early shipping—no fear of pivoting based on new insights.

• Curiosity About Crypto: You’re intrigued by the potential of Web3 and excited to simplify complex token operations for real users. (Deep expertise is a plus, but not required.)
