Sr. Software Engineer, Frontend

ROLE

Stardust seeks a Frontend Engineer with expert knowledge in React to help build our core npm packages and webapps. This person will report to the Head of Frontend and will leverage their professional experience and technical skillset to own the building out of new web applications.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect and implement performant front-end systems for our core npm packages and web apps
• Mentor junior team members on best practices to approaching large ambiguous problems
• Use and promote the latest front-end technologies & security best practices
• Help deliver a component library for our customers to use in their own web apps
• Independently collaborate with backend engineers and UX designers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of experience in frontend engineering
• Expert knowledge of a front-end framework such as React (preferred), Angular, or Vue
• Expert knowledge of a front-end language such as TypeScript or JavaScript
• Complete understanding of HTML5 and CSS
• Experience with jest and React Testing Library
• Experience with designing libraries
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
• Experience using design patterns and other engineering best practices
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
