Valence is building native on-chain AI inference, designed to deliver seamless and scalable inference secured by state-of-the-art cryptography. The Valence Network is an EVM blockchain network that is a composable execution layer for on-chain AI. The network features access to scalable and secure model inference, allowing developers to seamlessly leverage AI models in composable smart contracts to create powerful decentralized applications and enable new use-cases.

The Role

Valence is seeking a talented Smart Contract Software Engineer to join our world-class team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with writing smart contracts in Solidity, building decentralized applications on EVM-based blockchains and has a deep understanding of blockchain environments. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing core protocols, useful libraries, and tooling for Valence. 

  • Design, develop, and implement smart contracts and protocols that interface with Valence and other chains

  • Manage lifecycle of smart-contracts, from design to post-release

  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in blockchain technology and smart contract best practices

  • Work closely with blockchain platforms and protocols, including oracle feeds, cross-chain protocols, and related technologies

  • Participate in architectural decisions and provide innovative solutions to our unique technical challenges

Qualifications

  • Proven experience developing smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) using Solidity

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the blockchain space

  • Deep understanding of the EVM and adjacent technologies

  • Solid understanding of cryptographic principles and security best practices in blockchain development

  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, tools, and best practices

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal

  • Thrives in autonomous and collaborative environments
