About Catalyst:

What the role involves:

As an SDET within the Catalyst Tribe, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Catalyst software within the Cardano blockchain ecosystem. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, and product managers to test software functionalities, identify bugs, and improve the overall user experience.

  • Follow agile software development practices
  • Work with teams across multiple time zones
  • Work independently on software development tasks
  • Be proactive and require minimal supervision or mentoring to complete tasks
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts, programs and tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor debugging process results.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Assist in defining and implementing software quality assurance practices.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing or a related field.
  • Experience with blockchain technology and the Cardano ecosystem is desirable.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools for both frontend and backend components (Playwright, Cypress, Postman, Appium)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with the distributed system, Kubernetes, and Docker is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Good knowledge of scripting and popular programming languages
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
