About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Smart Contract Lead to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of smart contracts powering the Ronin ecosystem and our groundbreaking blockchain initiatives. In this role, you’ll lead a talented team of engineers, architect secure and scalable protocols, and drive innovation at the intersection of blockchain and gaming. What You’ll Do

• Lead Smart Contract Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality smart contracts for the Ronin blockchain (EVM), ensuring security, scalability, and performance.

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of smart contract engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

• Protocol Architecture: Architect distributed protocols with an emphasis on gas efficiency, upgradeability, and resilience to exploits.

• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, researchers, and cross-functional teams to align smart contract solutions with business and community needs.

• Security & Audits: Participate in internal and external security audits, implement feedback, and maintain best-in-class standards for smart contract safety.

• Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by researching emerging Solidity releases, developer tools, and Web3 trends to propose cutting-edge solutions.

• Production Maintenance: Ensure smart contracts are robust in production, including versioning, upgrades, and monitoring across networks.

• Community Impact: Address technical requirements and concerns from the Ronin gaming and developer communities, delivering solutions that empower users.

What We Look For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on smart contract development and deploying non-trivial protocols to production.

• 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams, with strong project management and problem-solving skills.

• Deep knowledge of Solidity, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), and EVM-compatible networks.

• Experience working with Foundry and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Proven track record designing, building, and testing high-volume and secure smart contracts.

• Experience with protocol design, formal verification, and test-driven development is a plus.

• Enthusiasm for blockchain gaming, NFTs, and Web3 technologies, with an understanding of their real-world applications.

• Fluent in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Ronin EVM ecosystems.

• Experience working with Go or Rust.

• Experience with startups or fast-paced, innovative environments.

• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
