About the role:
We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to work within our team, helping to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our infrastructure.
He/she must be equipped and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment. This person will serve as part of the Information Systems and Security team that collectively demonstrates excellent technical competence and reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure and that continually ensures the highest levels of accessibility, optimization, and security. Qualified systems engineer applicants will have a strong background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
You may find yourself doing all of the following:
- Managing underlying network infrastructure aspects, including domain name management, and DNS
- Overseeing SAAS-based tools, including Google Workspace, Notion, Zoom, Slack, GitHub, and others
- Developing and documenting IT standards and processes to ensure compliance and conformity
- Evaluating opportunities with third parties to deliver or improve upon key business functions
- Facilitating the execution of critical transactions on the Hedera distributed ledger network
- Consistently and successfully providing 2nd and 3rd level support
- Acting as liaison between departments to gather business needs and requirement
- Providing regular reporting of IT system performance and security
- Identifying, developing, and implementing operational and functional improvements of business systems
- Supporting operational and cybersecurity requirements across the company
Qualification Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a systems engineer or similar role
- IT Certifications in Cloud, DevOps, or Security related fields
- Experience operating in globally diverse organization
- Familiarity with operating systems, such as Windows, MacOS, Linux, and UNIX
- Excellent scripting skills with PowerShell and Bash
- Experience with GitHub and open-source software
- Understanding of ITIL and ability to establish and operate services under that model
- Background in IT operations in a Software/Platform/Infrastructure as a Service environment
- Experience with virtualization or containerization (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with enterprise and cloud network topologies, systems, services and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong conflict resolution and critical analysis skills
Other skills that are great to bring with you but that we can help you develop:
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience operating in a DevOps organizational model
- Demonstrated experience with Amazon AWS, Google Cloud and/or Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Zapier, IFTT, n8n
- Interest in or knowledge about Web3, Blockchain, Crypto
