Senior Software Engineer (Ethereum)

About Quilt: 

Quilt is an Applied R&D team focused solely on pushing the Ethereum, open source ecosystem forward - no strings attached to business functions. The objective of the Quilt team is to improve the usability, capacity, and performance of Ethereum. Quilt has worked on areas related to EIP-1559, the Merge of eth1 and eth2 Proof of Stake, EIP-3074, account abstraction, and execution environments (eth2 phase 2).

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement prototypes, tools, and simulations
• Contribute to the team’s open source codebases
• Engage in team’s design and code reviews
• Propose, write, explain technical designs, approaches, solutions
• Participate in the team’s standup and agile development processes
• Communication and collaboration with a fully distributed team

Qualifications:

• Experience implementing complex concurrent systems and novel algorithms
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, technologies, and languages
• Highly pragmatic engineer balancing research and prototyping
• Excellent coding skills
• Good communication skills
• Experience contributing to an open source project

Nice to have:

• Understanding of Ethereum and blockchain tech
• Familiarity with the internals of other blockchains
• Technical knowledge of peer-to-peer networks
• Knowledge and understanding of cryptography
• An impressive Github profile
