Everyone at Stardust has ownership over what they do, and we are looking for individuals who can manage a team of blockchain engineers effectively to adhere to timelines and spec out new features across many different blockchains that are all architected in very different ways. Learning is a key part of this role. We work with almost every blockchain and in many different programming languages, some mainstream and some custom to the blockchain we are working on.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design core product features from start to finish; from conception and research to implementation and iteration, all the way through deployment, maintenance, and future iterations
• Help architect and build performant backend systems for serving our core API and marketplace features
• Mentor and train other team members on best practices and approaching large ambiguous problems
• Shepherd products from designs and specifications to live deployments

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience building distributed and scalable backend systems
• Expert knowledge of Postgres (AWS Aurora)
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• An ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
• Ability to synthesize requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and facilitate engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• You've built natively on AWS, using serverless technologies (CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda) to build scalable solutions that process millions of requests per second
• You've built high scale distributed systems with Elastic Search, Redis, Kafka, and RDBMS
• You have experience with Postgres, Typescript, or Python
