Senior Rust Developer

We are looking for a Senior Rust Developer to join our team at BreederDAO. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Rust programming and experience in developing distributed systems, consensus mechanisms and blockchain applications. As part of our tech team, you will work on building scalable, high-performance blockchain solutions, smart contracts, and Web3 technologies, contributing to the development of the decentralized gaming ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain blockchain applications using Rust.
• Build, test, and deploy smart contracts, particularly for Web3 and decentralized gaming.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including blockchain architects, product managers, and game developers, to build secure, efficient, and high-performance decentralized applications.
• Optimize code for efficiency, scalability, and security in alignment with the company's mission to create top-tier digital assets.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and implement best practices for Rust development.
• Integrate with blockchain APIs, libraries, and protocols, ensuring seamless interoperability with different blockchain ecosystems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in Rust, blockchain development, and decentralized gaming.

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Rust programming.

• Proven experience in blockchain development, including but not limited to smart contract design and deployment
• Strong understanding of Web3 technologies, decentralized finance (DeFi), and play-to-earn (P2E) gaming ecosystems.
• Proficiency in cryptographic principles and experience with blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot, Solana).
• Solid experience with distributed systems and peer-to-peer networks.
• Experience with tools such as Substrate or other blockchain development frameworks is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
