Senior Protocol Engineer

Sound is hiring a Senior Protocol Engineer to architect, build, and maintain our smart contract protocols. You will contribute directly to creating protocols that will be used globally by all artists and listeners on Sound. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for writing high-quality and secure protocols and closely collaborating with the team to ensure that the end-to-end user experience is consistent.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test and deploy high quality, gas-efficient, and well-tested smart contracts
• Engage and collaborate with auditors to ensure security and quality standards
• Research, architect, and develop innovation solutions to scale the protocol
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to ensure that our user experience is consistent with our smart contract protocols

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience with Solidity
• Prior experience deploying complex smart contract systems to the Ethereum mainnet
• Proficiency with Solidity and EVM-based blockchains
• Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining high traffic smart contracts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate effectively on a breadth of technical topics
• Self-driven, autonomous, personality with a desire to develop protocols that will have an impact
• Excellent attention to detail
