Senior Finance Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Controller to lead finance operations and reporting for a global digital assets business. This role blends traditional finance expertise with blockchain-native accounting, offering a unique opportunity to shape best practices in an evolving regulatory and technological landscape. You will own end-to-end financial management across legal entities, oversee transfer pricing structures, and ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and crypto-specific reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and IndAS.

Oversee valuation, impairment testing, and disclosures for cryptocurrencies, tokens, and other digital assets.

Manage entity-level reporting and consolidations, including subsidiaries operating in trading, market-making, or blockchain ecosystems.

Provide guidance on complex accounting matters: revenue recognition, consolidation, stock options, business combinations, MTM, and crypto-related transactions.

Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, including FATF, VASP, and local crypto regulations.

Oversee transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany settlements involving both fiat and digital assets.

Partner with trading and settlement teams to conduct reconciliations, attestations, and wallet verifications across fiat and blockchain transactions.

Build and enhance processes, controls, and policies for blockchain-based finance operations, custody arrangements, and digital asset flows.

Manage ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) integrated with crypto accounting platforms (Bitwave, SoftLedger, Ledgible) for seamless reporting.

Collaborate with auditors, regulators, and internal leadership to address evolving requirements in crypto and fintech finance.

Present financial insights to senior leadership, influencing decision-making and strategy.

Act as a subject-matter expert in digital asset accounting, risk management, and financial governance.

Required Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

9–16 years of progressive experience in banking, broker-dealer, fintech, or crypto exchange environments.

Deep knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, with proven application to digital asset accounting.

Hands-on ERP expertise (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP); exposure to crypto accounting systems is an advantage.

Strong understanding of end-to-end trade flows including settlement, clearing, and market-making.

Proficiency in Excel, blockchain explorers, wallet reconciliation, and on-chain data tools.

Self-driven, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Passion for continuous learning in fintech, blockchain, DeFi, and digital asset regulation.
