About the Palm Network

Palm NFT Studio is one of the contributors to the Palm network. The Palm network is an Ethereum-compatible sidechain, built to serve as the foundation of a new scalable and sustainable ecosystem for NFTs. It is designed by, and for, Ethereum developers and features low gas costs and fast transaction finality. The Palm network uses the IBFT-2 consensus mechanism, a rotating Proof of Authority consensus method, in lieu of Proof of Work. This substantially reduces the computing power required and allows the Palm network to be 99% more energy-efficient than Proof of Work systems. To date, more than 3.5 million NFTs have been minted on the Palm network. There are currently 1.1 million wallet addresses, over 4 million NFTs, and more than 5 million transactions.

About the role

Palm NFT Studio is currently looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to help us manage our cloud infrastructure. The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for the development and deployment of software applications. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure that the software development life cycle is streamlined and efficient, and that applications are delivered to customers in a timely and reliable manner.

Responsibilities

• You will serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of our platform, CDN as well as blockchain infrastructure
• Build and maintain cloud AWS infrastructure
• You will assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate our rapid iteration and constant growth
• You will develop and maintain a full spectrum observability stack (Logs, Metrics, Tracing)effectively monitor Blockchain, web2.0 and Web3.0 apps
• Own, maintain and scale multiple Kubernetes clusters
• Working cross functionally with IT, Development Engineers and internal team
• Document and maintain processes in Confluence and Jira 
• Take part in on-call rotations; During on-call shifts, SREs diagnose, mitigate, fix, or escalate incidents as needed
• Assist in administering PostgreSQL RDS databases

Required skills

• Expertise with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience setting up, automating, and maintaining release management processes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Pulumi, Terraform, AWS CDK
• Expertise with configuring and running a CI/CD platform such as Jenkins, FluxCD, ArgoCD, Spinnaker, GitLab-CI or Travis
• Experience with 24/7 On Call rotation 
• Experience with observability (Logs, Metrics, Tracing) systems (Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Opentelemetry, Jagear, Loki, Grafana)
• Experience with Kubernetes, docker, AWS EKS
• Experience with scaling secure infrastructures with no single point of failure
• Understanding of the Twelve Factors & GitOps
• Understand best practices in security, compliance, high availability, resilience.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Security Model
• You should have experience working in an agile software development environment
