Senior CG Generalist - Assets

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled CG Generalist to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a CG Generalist focussed on asset production, you'll be instrumental in bringing our creative visions to life. We're looking for a speed demon who thrives on challenges and can deliver high-quality assets efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Model Creation: Create a wide range of 3D assets, including characters, environments, and props, under the guidance of the Art Director and in line with the creative brief.

• Retopology: Optimize models for animation, ensuring they are efficient and visually appealing.

• Look Development and Texturing: Develop realistic or stylized materials and textures, paying close attention to detail and ensuring consistency with the overall art style.

• Shading: Create complex shaders to achieve the desired visual effects.

• Rigorous QC: Conduct thorough quality control checks on all assets to ensure they meet the highest standards.

• Rapid Prototyping: Collaborate with the team to quickly iterate on designs and explore different creative directions, working at a fast pace.

• Technical Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges related to modeling, texturing, and shading.

• Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a CG Generalist in the film or advertising industry.

• Strong proficiency in Blender and/or Houdini, Zbrush and/or Blender sculpting tool and Substance Painter.

• Deep understanding of modeling, texturing, shading, and lighting techniques.

• A good understanding of a USD pipeline.

• Experience with Shotgrid.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Proactive approach to work. 

• A passion for creating high-quality 3D assets.
