As Senior Backend Engineer you will be responsible to manage the backend infrastructure, performance, stability, and scaling of user-facing dApps. You will maintain our node.js backend, manage our data stores (PostgreSQL), and maintain multiple blockchain nodes, and all the services that interact with them. You'll be part of a cross-functional team and will be bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. As an early employee, you will be a critical part of our core team and have a significant influence over the direction of the company.

Responsibilities

• Build new ideas from scratch.
• Build services critical to our dApps using Javascript
• Maintain NodeJs backend
• Working with product designers and other developers to brainstorm and build and release new features as a team.
• Write high quality, reusable, and well tested code in order to meet our company goals.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
• Experience with Node.js, Docker, DBMS technology including postgresSQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcache.
• Familiarity with blockchain governance or enthusiasm to learn.
• You're a team player and are comfortable reviewing others' code and implementing feedback from others on your work.
• Exceptional communication skills. You are comfortable with asynchronous written communication as well as synchronous video calls, pair programming, etc.
