Senior Android Engineer

We aim to bring premier Bitcoin banking solutions that offer a full array of financial services to our clients.  We are seeking a Senior Android software engineer who is excited about the future of mobile finance and has a taste for modern, mobile UX and aesthetics. We believe that there is a tremendous opportunity to bring high-end financial services to the mobile form factor and value candidates who are eager to build an app on the cutting edge.  

What you will be doing

• Owning and building our new Android app from the ground up
• Work closely with product management to plan and scope new projects and initiatives
• Writing high-quality, tested code to power a smooth, aesthetic UX
• Participate in code reviews
• Help shape the culture of the engineering organization for years to come

What we look for in you

• 5+ years experience building mobile consumer applications
• You have experience with Kotlin or Java
• You have an eye for design, intuitive UX, and aesthetics
• You have designed, built and maintained production Android applications at scale
• You write high-quality, reliable code and take ownership of systems you work on
• You have experience developing solutions to ambiguous problems
• You're excited about what we are building at River
