Senior Accountant

Role Overview

We have recently started building an internal Accounting function and so we are looking for our very first Senior Accountant to be part of our broader Finance team. We are looking for someone who has a great eye for detail and is proficient in the registration of invoices.  This is an independent, full-time role in our local Finance team in Poland. You will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Your future work will include

• performing accounting operations (Accounts Payables, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, etc.) with high quality and efficiency (daily and month-end close activities),
• reconciling travel expenses and supporting journal entries (cost accruals),
• preparing monthly reporting pack (BS, P&L, Cash flow),
• performing daily bank reconciliations,
• calculating the tax and preparing declarations (VAT, CIT),
• ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

Requirements

What we are looking for in candidates

• proven experience in a similar role (around 5 years),
• good working knowledge of Polish tax law,
• accuracy and attention to detail,
• willingness to work independently and have ownership in your role,
• experience in using Accounting software (Optima would be an advantage),
• communicative level of English and native level of Polish.
