We are a passionate team on a mission to enable a fairer, more decentralised world. Apart from the tech, we care a lot about user experience and aim to make complex technologies accessible to everyone.

A quick run-down of the job

We are looking for a Security Architect to spearhead our security framework, ensuring our systems and data are well-protected against emerging threats. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing security strategies, performing risk assessments, and fostering a security-conscious culture within our company. This position is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about cybersecurity and adept at both strategic oversight and technical execution.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, frameworks, and architectures to protect our network, systems, and data

  • Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen our security posture

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR) and maintain threat and risk registers

  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches, performing detailed analysis to determine root causes and impacts

  • Work closely with stakeholders to establish and enforce security controls, policies, and procedures

  • Lead security initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and best practices

  • Promote a security-centric community through workshops, content creation, and outreach, establishing LI.FI as a cybersecurity leader

  • Stay updated with the latest blockchain security developments, participate in security audits, and contribute to security documentation and guidelines

What makes a good candidate

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a SOC or cybersecurity role, with an emphasis on incident response and threat analysis

  • Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)

  • Proficiency with security technologies and tools, including SIEM, EDR, DLP, WAF, and network security devices

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, malware analysis, and attack vectors

  • Experience with PCI-DSS

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data analysis

  • Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, smart contract vulnerabilities, and DeFi-specific security risks

  • Familiarity with common attack vectors in Web3, such as flash loan attacks, reentrancy, and oracle manipulation

  • Strong ability to deal with third-parties and organize multiple external vendors (security research teams, pen testers, and security tooling companies))

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction within the team and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work well within a team and to be self-guided on a day-to-day basis

  • Willingness to quickly and successfully embrace and adapt change

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role

  • Industry certifications like a CISSP, CCSP, CISM, OWSP, CompTIA Sec+ or CEH are a plus
