"The biggest thing that sets Sawhorse apart is that we are all collaborative and working towards the same goal. It is a supportive community and everyone gives 100% to make what they release the best that it can be. It is an incredibly talented group of people who bring their own unique experiences and talents to the table to make things that are truly groundbreaking. Everyone has a seat at the table at Sawhorse regardless of role or level. One of the most exciting highlights of my career at Sawhorse has been bringing Elton John to Roblox. Some people were not as familiar with his work and music so when they saw his clothing and style and watched our concert they got excited. Seeing a new generation being positively influenced by something that our team built and created was unique. All of the comments shared by people as they went through the experience made me realize we had done something very special in addition to introducing a whole new generation to Elton John".

“One of my proudest moments while working at Sawhorse has been planning and executing on our first annual industry Sawhorse mixer. The event gave the Sawhorse team an opportunity to showcase all of the innovative work that has taken place across our production and interactive departments, and connected external customers and industry experts to learn more about Sawhorse. Based on event attendance, and anecdotal insights, event attendees had very positive comments to share about the success of the event, and working with Sawhorse. The beauty of working at Sawhorse is if you inquire about a role, or opportunity to learn a new skill offered within another department, the leaders at Sawhorse are willing to support your professional growth 100%”. Outside of work you can find Monica dancing her heart out at music festivals with some of her favorite artists including Slander, Sullivan King, and Excision or trying out the latest restaurants in LA and Orange County with her most recent favorite being Shabuya".

"One of the projects that I'm most proud of is the Stranger Things Immersive Watch Party that we built for Stranger Things Day 2022. I had fun with the demogorgon pieces specifically because it was bringing to life characters from the Stranger Things universe. The project remains my personal record-holder for most concurrent users at 38k. It is also a brand that I have a personal interest in because I have watched all of the seasons of Stranger Things. Coming from a video production background, the management team of Sawhorse has been incredibly humble in accepting and learning from the knowledge of those of us that have been on the platform for a long time. They could have easily written us off as young or professionally inexperienced, but they haven't and that helps enable us to build the best experiences we can, as well as to continue learning and improving". Outside of work Michael can be found spending time with his dog, Finley, an Aussie doodle and his wife, Emily watching some of their favorite fantasy sci-fi films including Lord of the Rings.

Michael Dougal, Roblox Technical Manager located in Utah

"Working on projects and building experiences that haven’t been done before like the new 3D wrapping makeup system for the Karlie Kloss game felt like a groundbreaking accomplishment because it was a higher fidelity process that has not been done in the past on Roblox. This was an experience that allowed users to customize their own fashion pieces with high end textures so that the user could create their own wardrobe within the game. I also am really proud to have been the Art Director for the Elton John experience which was a bucket list project because he is the icon of self-expression and this experience embodied that along with giving us full creative control". Outside of work Jessica lives in Alaska and enjoys woodworking and creating resin and wood tables, hanging out with her family, hiking and skiing.
