We are seeking research engineers with solid research background and strong development skills in IoT security to join our research team. As a research engineer in IoT security, you will lead various decentralized IoT research projects, build IoT proof of concepts (PoCs) and/or full-fledged products, and collaborate with the product team for building innovative MachineFi solutions. You will have the opportunity and responsibility to build MachineFi Lab’s long-term vision of powering billions of devices and decentralized applications across the physical and digital world.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in multiple IoT security areas, including, but not limited to, hardware root-of-trust (e.g., TPM, secure element, etc. ), secure operating system, decentralized security architecture, Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), secure boot, over-the-air update
- Write technical reports and/or research articles when possible and present research findings at industry or academic events Build IoT prototypes and/or products by collaborating with business partners and engineers
- Collaborate with the product team integrating IoT hardware into production-ready blockchain&IoT solutions
- Engage and participate in activities in industry consortiums and standardization bodies Collaborate with researchers and engineers both within and outside of MachineFi Lab to work towards building cutting-edge blockchain&IoT solutions
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering or a related field, or relevant experience in research and development
- Experience working on various open-source hardware (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc.) and security chips (e.g., TPM, secure element, etc.)
- Proficient in at least one or more programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Rust)
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills and outstanding ability to influence and develop relationships with key business partners
- Fast learner of decentralized IoT architecture and blockchain technologies
