Enterprise customers like Peloton, Walmart, Wayfair, and more use Apollo to simplify their application development by combining API databases and microservices into a brand new layer in companies' stacks called the supergraph that helps engineering teams ship faster and build richer experiences than ever before. Gartner estimates that by 2025, 50% of companies will be using GraphQL. Apollo is the industry standard GraphQL implementation, providing this data graph layer that connects modern apps to the cloud.
We need a world-class Regional Vice President to scale the team and take advantage of our unique opportunity in a massive market. As the RVP, you will be responsible for identifying and recruiting top talent across half of the United States. You will work with the CRO and leadership team on strategic initiatives, including territory creation and sales processes to achieve our revenue goals. You will collaborate with technical and business development stakeholders to drive a successful sales program. You’re going to play an integral, and ever-expanding role as we continue to grow.

What You'll Do:
- You’ll scale and nurture a team of top sales talent and execute a comprehensive enablement program to ensure AE and RD productivity in close conjunction with the CRO and Product Marketing.
- You will leverage the knowledge gained in the field to provide a continual feedback loop for the product and marketing teams.
- You will be responsible for accurately forecasting and reporting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline, achievement, and performance reports.
- You will focus on streamlining sales processes and strategies, assigning quotas, balancing territories, and enhancing the visibility of pipeline management.
- You will collaboratively work across the organization to continually measure the existing sales process to help identify inefficiencies, eliminate friction, and measure the results.
About You:
- You have experience with software sales or complex technical selling.
- You have experience leading and hiring successful sales teams, making sure they are ramping to productivity appropriately and achieving sales goals.
- You are growth-oriented. You thrive in a startup environment, where you’re comfortable navigating competing priorities and managing ambiguity in a fast-paced setting.
- You are intellectually curious, passionate about technology, and able to speak knowledgeably about technical products and industries.
- You are a trailblazer. If a process doesn’t exist, you’ll jump right in and help to create it. If you come across inefficiencies, you’re able to provide feedback and take action to optimize processes/results.
- You are a great communicator with excellent writing and analytics skills and a sense of empathy for both internal and external stakeholders you engage with.
- You are passionate about pipeline generation and sales methodology - bonus points if you are familiar with MEDDPIC.
This is a regional role that can be done remotely from anywhere in the United States - Central, Mountain or Western time zones.
