The Security Services team is dedicated to helping organizations design secure and efficient blockchain systems, encompassing a wide array of applications from decentralized exchanges (DEXs), smart contracts, and decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms to interchain connection protocols that enable seamless communication and interoperability between diverse blockchain networks. Informal systems approaches combine manual code inspection with automated software analysis using our in-house formal verification and testing tools.

Informal Systems is a remote-first company with a presence in North America and Europe. We are structured as a worker’s cooperative, where important corporate actions are subject to one-person-one-vote democratic control by the member-employees.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with demonstrated experience delivering complex projects in a service environment to join our Security Engineering team. In this role, you will work with some of the foremost technical experts in the fields of distributed systems, blockchain, and formal verification. You will have the opportunity to support some of the largest projects in the ecosystem.

As a member of our team, you will engage directly with clients, delivering complex and highly technical projects at the intersections of security and engineering.

What your primary responsibilities will be:

• Innovate and implement creative solutions to ensure exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to define project delivery requirements including staffing, project plans, and deliverables prior to kickoff.
• Ensure all project onboarding requirements are met before kickoff.
• Manage daily operations of project progress and, performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and clients.
• Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Review deliverables prior to client presentation to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
• Ensure adherence to service- level agreements (SLAs) and client requirements.
• Collect and analyze client feedback on audit services to enhance quality and thoroughness.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and BizOps Lead to refine operational policies and procedures, minimizing bottlenecks.
• Proactively seek opportunities for upselling and expanding service offerings to maximize client value.

What we look for in a successful Project Manager:

• 5 + experience in project management, particularly in service delivery or consulting.
• Experience in security, blockchain, or distributed systems related services.
• Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
• Experience identifying and upselling follow on services.
• Strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
