Product Owner - Web 3

As a Product Owner in the Web 3 space, you will be pivotal in driving product strategy and execution for our blockchain-based products. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and business teams to bring our vision to life, ensuring that our decentralized applications (dApps), tokens, and Web 3 services meet users' needs while adhering to industry standards.

You will also be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders, defining features and user stories, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that we deliver on the promise of decentralized technology. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong understanding of blockchain technology, decentralized protocols, and Web 3 principles, combined with a user-centric approach to product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for Web 3 initiatives, aligning with both user needs and the overarching goals of the business and blockchain ecosystem.
• Backlog Management: Create and prioritize a product backlog with clear user stories, ensuring the development team has actionable tasks and focuses on the most impactful features for our decentralized applications and solutions.
• Blockchain & Crypto Knowledge: Understand and leverage the latest trends and innovations in blockchain technology, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and other Web 3 technologies to guide product development.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, legal, marketing, compliance) and external users and partners to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure that the product meets the needs of the decentralized community.
• Roadmap Development: Create a Web 3 product roadmap aligned with blockchain platforms' business objectives and technical possibilities. Ensure that milestones and deliverables are clear and achievable.
• User-Centric Approach: Advocate for the user experience, ensuring that our decentralized applications are intuitive, secure, and accessible, especially for those new to Web 3 concepts.
• Agile Sprint Management: Work closely with development teams to plan and execute sprints using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Track progress, remove roadblocks, and adjust priorities as needed.
• Go-to-Market & Community Engagement: Support product launches by working with marketing and community teams to promote new features and ensure users understand how to use new decentralized services and applications.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics tools and user feedback to make informed decisions and optimize the product experience. Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of new features and user adoption.
• Security & Compliance: Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to ensure that products adhere to regulatory standards, including data privacy, security, and blockchain-specific regulations (e.g., smart contract audits, token standards, etc.).
• Ecosystem Awareness: Stay updated on developments within the Web 3 ecosystem, including new protocols, competitor offerings, and shifts in user behavior, to keep the product competitive and innovative.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of product management experience, preferably with exposure to Web 3 technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs, or decentralized platforms.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Bonus points for experience or coursework in blockchain or decentralized technologies.
• Technical Understanding: Familiarity with blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot), decentralized protocols, dApps, and Web 3 standards is a plus. Experience with crypto wallets, tokenomics, and DeFi protocols is also a plus.
• Agile & Product Management: Solid experience with agile product development (Scrum/Kanban), backlog management, and working in cross-functional teams.
• Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven decision-making ability, with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar to track product performance and user engagement.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex Web 3 concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving & Creativity: Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for creative solutions in the decentralized space.
• Passion for Web 3: A deep interest in the Web 3 movement and the future of decentralized technologies, with a genuine passion for exploring new solutions in this rapidly evolving field.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with innovative contract development (Solidity, Rust, etc.) or blockchain development.
• Experience with Web 3 tools (MetaMask, Web3.js, Ethers.js, etc.) and frameworks.
• Experience with tokenomics or expertise in launching and managing tokens, NFTs, or DeFi products.
• Blockchain certification or courses from Coursera, Udemy, or blockchain-focused institutions.
