ABOUT THE ROLE:

Blockworks is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic podcast host to lead and produce our upcoming podcast, Lightspeed. The podcast explores the world of crypto from a technologist's perspective, emphasizing experimentation, speed, and cutting-edge tech advancements. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the crypto industry and an interest in topics such as execution layer scaling solutions, modular blockchains, user experience, virtual machines, the evolution of the early internet and emerging technologies beyond crypto, such as AI. Hosts must be users of crypto, not talking heads. Passion and curiosity are table stakes. We are ideally looking for candidates that are interested in a full-time role and can ideally work within 3+/- hours of the EST timezone.

AS A LIGHTSPEED HOST, YOU WILL:

• Plan, schedule, and produce high-quality podcast episodes at least 2x a week
• Continually seek out the upcoming narratives, projects and developments in crypto to ensure timely, unique and impactful content
• Conduct thorough research on each guest to ensure informed, engaging discussions
• Write episode scripts and prepare questions in advance of interviews
• Perform post-production tasks such as content editing on Descript, timestamps, FALSE notes, and work with editors to produce engaging thumbnails
• Collaborate with the production team to develop new ideas and topics for the FALSE
• Promote the podcast through personal social media channels and other Blockworks channels
• Collaborate with the sales team to close sponsorships and maintain healthy sponsor relationships
• Read sponsor ad spots in a timely, creative, and engaging manner to drive the success of sponsor partnerships
• Analyze audience feedback and data to improve the FALSE's content and format
• Attend industry events and networking opportunities to stay up-to-date on trends and promote the Lightspeed podcast

YOU WILL HAVE :

• Prior experience with creating content (e.g. podcasts, blogs, Twitter) 
• Deep knowledge of crypto, scaling technologies, developer/user-focused products, and bleeding-edge tech
• Prior experience interacting with multiple L1s, wallets and on-chain applications
• Passion for media, the podcast industry, and dedication to producing high-quality content
• Strong verbal communication skills and storytelling ability
• Proficiency in social media marketing and digital content promotion
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
