Marketing Manager

YAP Global is an international public relations and communications consultancy that works with meaningful companies and organisations in the cryptocurrency, decentralised finance (DeFi) and web3 sector to build their brand through impactful storytelling.

Built by a global team of creative storytellers scattered across the globe, who meet up on occasion at French Chateaus and Singapore food stalls, YAP Global’s mission is to be the bridge between quality journalism and emerging web3 technologies which bring value to the world.

Our diverse portfolio of clients range from decentralised financial organisations, decentralised climate change innovators, digital asset management firms, NFT marketplaces to developer tooling platforms that will underpin the future of web3. We’ve also been media partners for some of the biggest blockchain conferences in the world, including CoinDesk’s Consensus, EthCC in France, ETHDenver and more.

Our collaborative and global team is expanding, and we are looking for an ambitious Marketing Manger.

Key responsibilities

As Marketing Manager you will be managing all aspects of YAP Global’s marketing and brand, including social media, as well as manage our external marketing services, 

• Maintain all company assets, brand colours, branding and style guides 
• Manage the design of company branded documents such as pitch decks and presentations)
• Manage design of brand assets, banners and swag for key industry events, including YAP Global owned events 
• Create and execute a marketing strategy including social media plan
• Identify ways to increase traffic to our website
• Manage the continuous development of our marketing services for clients
• Increase the reach and the company’s newsletter and podcast
• Manage company’s SEO
• Apply for awards to increase company recognition
• Deliver workshops to the team on marketing principles

• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK, South Africa or Singapore (depending on where you’re applying from - role can be in any of these locations)
• At least 2 years experience in a marketing role in a fast paced environment (preferably at a startup)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills

• Ability to stay calm under pressure

• Proven experience in a comparable marketing role, including social media management (with familiarity of crypto trends on X (formerly Twitter) preferred)
• Ability to spot and understand social media trends, and capitalise on them
• Technical proficiency across Google workspace applications and social media platforms
• A positive, proactive, and confident self-starter attitude
• A keen eye for design
• Proficiency of digital design applications such as Canva or Illustrator
• SEO experience highly desirable
• A good understanding of the crypto, blockchain or web3 industry
