Job Description

You will be part of the personalization team which strives to help artists find connections, provide personalized data insights and by building the next generation artist tools. We are growing and we are looking for ML Engineers who are excited about solving problems for artists.  Our ML Engineers work in close collaboration with Product, Data Analysts, Design from all across TIDAL. We use many models from simple heuristics to deep learning to build our recommender systems. We’re open to in-office, hybrid or fully remote for this role - you choose whatever works the best for you.

You Will:

• Develop, iterate and experiment to meet new product objectives
• Work on different problems spanning entity resolution, personalized recommendations and content understanding
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and other partners to tackle problems in delivering value to artists
• Build strong domain expertise within music metadata 
• Be an important contributor within the larger TIDAL Artist Home team

Qualifications

You Have:

• 5+ years of professional experience working in a product-driven environment
• Experience leading end-to-end machine learning projects
• Experience with data pipeline tools like Apache Spark and cloud platforms like AWS
• You are comfortable exploring data to understand the problems and products you are working on
• The ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical people across different teams
• Experience with music metadata, content understanding or entity resolution is a bonus

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Zone A: USD $148,700 - USD $223,100 Zone B: USD $141,300 - USD $211,900 Zone C: USD $133,800 - USD $200,800 Zone D: USD $126,400 - USD $189,600 To find a location’s zone designation, please refer to this resource.
