Lead of Operations

The Opportunity

We are looking for an operations leader with a background in technology, ideally from a Web 2.0 growth start-up. This is a unique role for someone to come in and play an essential role in building out efficient and transparent processes for our team and its interactions with the DAO. We need someone who has keen attention to detail to come in and make sure that we can continue to operate at our pace and keep track of all the moving pieces. We’re looking for someone with an operations background to step in and take responsibility for this by proposing, leading, and executing solutions that will improve the way we operate.

With the vision “to create a decentralized, transparent and accessible platform to level the economic playing field for everybody around the world”, MakerDAO was created on the belief that DAOs, blockchains, and digital currency will rewire the global economic system, creating a fundamentally more open, transparent, inclusive, efficient, and integrated world economy.   The MakerDAO Growth Core Unit aims to grow the available distribution channels for the Maker protocol by intelligently deploying the human and financial capital given by the DAO, increasing the supply and demand of DAI in the global markets. The key channels we wish to expand are the (1) ability of borrowers to generate DAI, (2) the ability of users to buy and sell DAI, and (3) the ability of users to perform a helpful activity with DAI.

About you

• 2-3 years of experience in operations, project management, or project coordination role, with a proven track record of success
• Proven experience in successfully planning and executing projects and strategic initiatives within the organization
• Concise and robust reporting skills
• Experience working with project management tools
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Comfort in working with a small team in a very fast-paced environment
• Motivated, self-starter attitude that can adapt and thrive in ambiguity
• Excellent English writing skills
• Relentlessly curious about the emerging technology of the web3 ecosystem
• Thrives in a distributed environment, with the ability to strengthen and build relationships across the DAO

Responsibilities

• Help determine, define and build robust and scalable systems and processes.
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Provide project updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Help to convert ideas into structured proposals with clear metrics and deliverables.
