About this role

We're seeking a talented and versatile Lead Designer to join Halliday as our first dedicated design hire. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, creative, and motivated generalist to build an end-to-end design function from scratch. You will be responsible for shaping our product's UI/UX and our brand identity. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to refine design standards, craft intuitive user experiences, and create a cohesive brand presence across all touchpoints.

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve our brand identity and brand guide
• Manage the end-to-end UI/UX design of our product suite and website, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience
• Create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes and new web pages
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly products and marketing materials
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and continuously improve our user experience
• Design imagery for our external-facing channels, such as blogs and social media

Who we're looking for

• We want an experienced Generalist who can easily switch between UI/UX and branding/marketing work
  • All else equal, we will prioritize UI/UX over branding/marketing here.
• 5+ years of experience in Design (bonus points if you have experience as the first designer at a company)
• Strong understanding of and interest in blockchain technology (with either professional or personal experience)
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Framer and Canva
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions to cross-functional partners.
