iOS Engineer - Cash Team

Position Overview

We are hiring an iOS engineer to join our Cash team and build a best-in-class product in the growing web3 space. On the Cash team, you’ll be building and managing one of our core products (etherfi cash, a credit card) which allows our users to spend their crypto in the real world. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI, along with a proven track record of building innovative mobile applications. Your responsibilities will primarily revolve around crafting intuitive, secure, and high-performance native iOS applications that seamlessly integrate with blockchain networks. We're looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values user experience, and is eager to contribute to the evolution of decentralized applications.

This role is based in one of our 3 offices (Toronto, Denver, or Cayman Islands). We can provide work authorization for Cayman. We work onsite 4x a week, allow remote work for 4 weeks of the year, and you may work out of any of our offices anytime.

• Design, develop, and maintain highly responsive, visually appealing iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Work closely with our product and design team to conceptualize and implement new features in Figma that enhance user experience and drive engagement within iOS applications. Apply Figma designs to the iOS App.
• Collaborate closely with blockchain developers to integrate efficient data querying using GraphQL or other relevant technologies.
• Implement iOS-compatible web3 technologies to enable blockchain functionalities like transactions, wallet connections, and smart contract interactions within the DApps.
• Uphold application performance, quality, and responsiveness standards, ensuring code integrity and organization throughout the iOS development process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in blockchain technology, iOS development, and security protocols to continuously enhance the product's functionality and security.
• Create Unit and UI-tests and a smooth CI/CD flow for internal/external testing and production releases.
• Communicate with the Apple Developer program to ensure a smooth and timely release of the app every time an update is pushed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI with a minimum of 3 years of experience in iOS development.
• Demonstrated expertise in building iOS applications, including interaction with backends and databases (GraphQL experience is a plus).Familiarity with iOS-compatible blockchain interaction libraries such as Web3.swift, WalletConnect, or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Knowledge of development tools and methodologies, including version control systems like Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated testing frameworks tailored for iOS.
• Experience or prior work in Blockchain and especially the Ethereum ecosystem is a plus, but not required!
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
