The Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP) is a venture initiative from the Arbitrum DAO, backed by over 200M ARB and purpose-built for top founders using blockchain to unlock new dimensions of gaming experiences, monetization, and growth. GCP provides strategic capital to studios, publishers, and independent creators advancing the future of gaming and entertainment on Arbitrum. Beyond funding, the program offers go-to-market support, technical resources, a vibrant builder network, and more from cross-Arbitrum gaming partners.

The core team and incoming recruits bring experience from Zynga, BCG, Google, LucasArts, Blizzard Entertainment, and leading Web3 gaming VCs.

About the Role

The Gaming Catalyst is seeking an Investor to join its venture team and play a key role in identifying and supporting high-potential projects at the intersection of gaming and Web3. This is a high-impact individual contributor position for someone who is passionate about deal sourcing, due diligence, and helping founders build in the Arbitrum ecosystem.

As an Investor, you will work closely with the broader venture team and Arbitrum Gaming partners to evaluate opportunities, shape investment theses, and support portfolio companies post-investment. You’ll be deeply embedded in the gaming and Web3 founder community and contribute to building the next generation of games and infrastructure on Arbitrum.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a well-capitalized initiative with direct access to top-tier projects, founders, and builders across the Web3 gaming space.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and recommend investment opportunities aligned with GCP’s mission and thesis

• Conduct due diligence, market analysis, team assessments, and token/equity modeling

• Support the preparation of investment memos, recommendations, and deal summaries to help the investment committee make informed, well-structured decisions.

• Collaborate with the venture team to refine investment frameworks and ecosystem fit

• Support portfolio companies with operational help, strategic guidance, and connections

• Track portfolio performance and contribute to reporting and DAO transparency efforts

• Build relationships with founders, developers, other investors, and Arbitrum-aligned projects

• Represent GCP at industry events, demo days, and through ecosystem engagement
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in venture capital, gaming, crypto/Web3, or early-stage tech investing

• Strong sourcing instincts, analytical capabilities, and a passion for evaluating early-stage teams and products

• Familiarity with game studios, gaming infrastructure, and/or crypto-native investment models (e.g., tokenomics, SAFTs)

• Experience with investment diligence, financial modeling, and market research

• Excellent writing and communication skills, especially in synthesizing deal rationale

• Knowledge of the Arbitrum ecosystem or L2s a plus, but not required

• Operator or founder experience is a bonus, especially in gaming or crypto
