You’ll take a direct role in resolving our most critical and time-sensitive challenges, and you’ll apply your creativity to improve the reliability of our platform.

What You'll Do:

• Architect, automate and support the backbone of Crunchbase on Industry standard platforms and tools such AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Build and maintain our custom gateway and network routing infrastructure
• Support and improve our build, test and deployment pipelines using DevOps as our central philosophy
• Design and develop tools to enhance our developer experience and productivity
• Act as a central point of communication for triaging and resolving site issues (including participating in an on-call rotation)
• Apply industry-standard methodologies and your insight into our cloud, system, application security, and observability practices
• Support our data infrastructure including our storage systems, data pipelines, and machine learning architecture.

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering
• Practical understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals
• Proven experience with practical application of containers in both development and production environments
• Deep experience with command line interfaces and linux, including scripting
• Strong desire to stay up to date with industry tools and standard methodologies
• Familiarity with our tools is a plus but not required (AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, OpenResty, Terraform, Python, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Kafka)
