The Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP) is a venture initiative from the Arbitrum DAO, backed by over 200M ARB and purpose-built for top founders using blockchain to unlock new dimensions of gaming experiences, monetization, and growth. The core team and incoming recruits bring experience from Zynga, BCG, Google, LucasArts, Blizzard Entertainment, and leading Web3 gaming VCs.

About the Role:
The Arbitrum Gaming Catalyst Program is hiring a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead financial operations at a pivotal stage of growth. As the first finance hire, you will oversee internal fund management, financial planning, and vendor coordination across both equity and token investments. This is a unique opportunity to help scale a Web3-native venture fund backed by the Arbitrum DAO and focused on the future of gaming.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Finance & Accounting Leadership:

    • Build and manage internal financial operations for equity and token portfolios Lead capital calls, distributions, and fund performance tracking 

    • Oversee financial systems, controls, and fund operations processes 

    • Coordinate with program ops, legal, accounting, and tax vendors to ensure transparency.

  2. Budgeting, FP&A, and Modeling:

    • Create and maintain operating budgets for the fund and its internal team 

    • Develop models that incorporate token volatility, unlock schedules, and treasury runway 

    • Define key financial KPIs and support data-driven decisions

  3. Reporting and DAO Communications:

    • Produce quarterly and ad hoc  reporting for DAO stakeholders, including performance, treasury, and program impact

    • Track token vesting, unlocks, and liquid positions in the fund’s portfolio

    • Manage audit prep, tax compliance, and regulatory filings

  4. Treasury and Risk Oversight 

    • Oversee multisig wallets, custody platforms, and on-chain treasury operations

    • Monitor capital efficiency and manage financial risk across diverse asset types

    • Design internal policies for liquidity management and compliance

    • Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and optimize capital efficiency

  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Investments, Grants, and Operations operations  teams 

    • Support investment decisions with financial modeling and scenario planning 

    • Align financial operations with the broader strategy of the program

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in finance or operations at a venture fund, crypto startup, or Web3-native organization 

  • Deep understanding of token mechanics, treasury ops, and blockchain-based finance

  • Proven track record in FP&A, fund reporting, and multi-entity financial operations

  • Familiarity with venture fund structures, capital calls, and investment tracking 

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a systems-oriented mindset 

  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, decentralized/DAO environments
