Role Overview

We’re hiring a Head of Developer Ecosystem to lead Thrive’s global DevRel strategy, drive builder acquisition, and own our engagement with the Web3 developer community. This is a high-impact role at the center of our ecosystem growth strategy.

You’ll be responsible for sourcing and supporting the best Web3 builders, optimizing the builder journey from discovery to funding, and collaborating with partner ecosystems to ensure top developers get matched with high-leverage opportunities.

The ideal candidate has deep DevRel or ecosystem growth experience, is technically fluent, thrives in ambiguity, and has operated at a high level in a fast-moving Web3 environment.

About You

You are a proactive, entrepreneurial-minded individual who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Ideally, you’ve had experience founding or running your own venture, or have spent 2–3 years immersed in the entrepreneurial world. You're based in Western Europe or North America and bring a self-directed, outcome-driven approach to your work. You don’t wait to be told what to do. You’re energized by open-ended challenges, take full ownership of your work, and adapt fluidly to evolving roles and responsibilities. You operate with a bias toward action, staying focused on impact over process, and don’t need close management to drive high-quality outcomes. You align deeply with our mission and bring a flexible, growth mindset to everything you do. You understand that job descriptions are starting points, not boundaries, and you’re excited to step up wherever needed to move the mission forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Thrive’s developer acquisition and engagement funnel across multiple ecosystems
• Identify and engage high-impact builders through direct outreach, events, and online communities
• Design and run technical activations, including live builds, tutorials, POCs, and demo days
• Manage and refine DevRel tooling, automation systems, and funnel tracking
• Work with Ecosystem Specialists to match developers with the right ecosystems and funding programs
• Collaborate with internal teams to accelerate application review and approval workflows
• Represent Thrive at developer conferences, hackathons, and industry events
• Build partnerships with blockchain clubs, universities, accelerators, and technical communities
• Serve as a public-facing technical leader through channels like Twitter Spaces, AMAs, and workshops

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Ecosystem Growth, or Technical Community roles
• Hands-on technical fluency—smart contract or full-stack development experience preferred
• Proven track record of scaling developer adoption and engagement
• Deep familiarity with Web3 builders, ecosystems, and grant/funding models
• Comfortable leading strategy, prioritizing goals, and working cross-functionally in a high-growth startup
• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and public-facing
• Experience managing DevRel or community teams is a plus
