Role Overview

We're looking for a Grants Program Lead who is highly organized and detail-oriented to oversee our grant programs and investment initiatives, advancing groundbreaking projects in the Web3 and gaming spaces.

Our ideal candidate will bring a strategic vision for grantmaking, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for supporting innovative projects within the blockchain and gaming ecosystems. You design the grants experience, managing the entire grants lifecycle, from assessing grant applications to tracking project outcomes, while setting a higher standard for grant program service design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the GCP’s grant strategy to align with organizational goals and drive impact within the web3 gaming ecosystem.

• Review and assess grant applications, ensuring they meet criteria and align with the GCP’s mission, and manage the approval process with input from key stakeholders (head of developer experience, relevant investment team members, etc).

• Identify and evaluate strategic investment opportunities that align with the GCP’s goals and support the growth of the Arbitrum ecosystem.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive evaluation framework to measure the effectiveness and impact of funded projects, ensuring alignment with GCP’s mission.

• Lead initiatives to optimize and refine grant operations, establishing best practices and ensuring efficient, transparent processes.

• Ensure alignment, and when appropriate, collaboration with Arbitrum Foundation and Offchain Labs. 

• Work closely with grantees, council members, and external partners to ensure program success and alignment with the broader GCP ecosystem.

Key projects you’ll tackle at GCP

• Co-develop and operationalize GCP grant strategy from 0-1 with a strong emphasis on infrastructure grants.

• In collaboration with key vendors, develop GCP grants portal on designation marketing site.

• Supporting brand-building initiatives and advocating for Arbitrum’s role in web3 gaming.

• Support of GCP’s GTM in developing marketing collateral and communication strategy related to our grants program.  

• Ensure alignment and understanding of shared objectives with cross-Arbitrum players like Offchain Labs, Arbitrum Foundation, and others.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years in program management, investment/financial analysis, or portfolio management, with venture capital experience as a strong plus.

• Understanding of the blockchain ecosystem, particularly within Ethereum and Arbitrum, and familiarity with web3 gaming trends is a plus.

• Experience in project management with the ability to develop effective policies and procedures.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

• Skilled in engaging and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including grantees, partners, and council  members.

• A genuine commitment to supporting pioneering projects and initiatives within web3 and gaming.
