Mission:

SwissBorg is looking for a qualified translator to join our Growth team and participate in various stages of the translation process. He/she will have to execute and coordinate the different translations through our different tools, perform the quality of the translations and follow their life cycle while coordinating with the Translation and Marketing team. The 1st steps of the mission will be to manage the translation of the application, the notifications/emails and the website in German. Please note this is a fully remote role for a candidate who can be based anywhere in European timezone, not just in Paris.

What you might be doing:

• Examine all the documents that need to be translated, in order to create or integrate a glossary English-German of the key terms for SwissBorg and for the fintech industry
• Translate files and documents, including app screens, emails, blog articles and website pages, from English into German
• Translation of the mobile application screens
• Translation of emails and notifications (html)
• Translation of website, blog articles and marketing content
• Accurately review and proofread translated documents in order to ensure overall quality and consistency
• Provide language sign-off for published materials, i.e. check the final version of a document once it's been laid out and finalised (this includes checking overall layout and formatting, fonts, headings, tables, figures etc. and general consistency)
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of promotional materials in German when needed
• Provide support to social media efforts
• Work in close collaboration with and take direction from the Translation & Localization Manager and the Head of Growth

What you might bring:

• German native speaker, educated to degree level (ideally in translation studies or languages in general) with excellent knowledge of English (French nice to have, other languages a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer literacy
• Discretion and willingness to work with confidential material
• Strong interest in finance, blockchain and cryptocurrencies
• Must be independent, organised and detail-oriented, as well as have the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Team player, positive attitude and good work ethic
• Recommended, but not a must: Previous experience in a similar role; experience in using localisation or translation tools; basic knowledge of HTML
