The Cosmos Ecosystem is a complex, multi-billion dollar decentralized web of software, networks, and organizations on the frontier of secure distributed systems infrastructure and applications. Informal Systems is a core contributor to Cosmos, where we specialize in the security of interoperable blockchain systems by relying heavily on formal verification tools and techniques. At Informal, we apply these formal verification tools and techniques to audit the software of projects in the Cosmos ecosystem and beyond.

About the Role

As the General Manager of the Audit Team (“Informal Security”), you will oversee and lead the scaling and development of the audit business. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business, including strategic planning, technical direction, financial management, marketing, and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in security auditing businesses, with a technical understanding of blockchain protocols and security, and with proven experience in building and managing successful businesses. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement the business strategy for Informal Security including growth plans, market analysis, and competitive analysis.
• Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners, identifying new business opportunities
• Work with the Quality Lead to develop and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Work with Product Owner to identify and develop new business opportunities, including expansion of our services and products, partnerships, markets etc. 
• Monitor industry trends and maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging tech, adjusting roadmaps based on market needs

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical services business, with a proven track record of building and managing successful businesses.
• Strong technical background, with experience in software development, security, and/or formal methods
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address key issues and opportunities.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies.
