The role of the Gameplay programmer will be to work with designers and other programmers to create an epically fun game! This position requires that the developer not only be passionate about games and be bursting with creative ideas, but also very familiar with the development process and the interaction between design and code in terms of implementing rapid iteration functionality and understanding exactly what “levers” to provide.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years of experience creating real-time AAA 3D multiplayer games
- Strong knowledge of multiplayer gameplay programming synchronization models and replication techniques such as lockstep (+input delay), prediction, rollback, etc.
- Extensive experience with various gameplay-related techniques and algorithms such as pathfinding, goal trees, state machines, etc,.
- 3+ years of experience with Unreal 4 (or 5) development using both C++ and Blueprints
- At least 4+ years experience writing C++ code using various design patterns (factory, singleton, bridge, etc)
- Excellent at writing performance-oriented code and optimization techniques
- Very good command of English
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of full lifecycle game programming and related technologies.
