Role Focus
A key goal of Aztec over the coming year is to meaningfully decentralise the network. We’re also looking to extend the existing system with new features. Achieving this will require a multi-disciplinary approach that will cover our entire tech stack. One area of particular attention are our proof circuits. We’re looking for engineers with specific circuit experience to:
- Modify rollup circuits to enable a new coordinator network entity to incentivise network liveness.
- Modify rollup circuits to enable us to prove that “off chain data” (data not needed for network liveness), is valid, and is published correctly on e.g. IPFS.
- Modify rollup circuits to advance the topology from a 28x32 architecture to a more parallelisable, recursive, 2x2 architecture.
- Extend our circuits to enable atomic swaps for trading use cases.
- Extend our join-split circuits to add support for secp256k1/secp256r1 signatures, enabling signing with TouchId, FaceId and other TPM modules.
- Contribute to our next generation system Aztec3, which involves a new range of circuit functionality.
Desired Skills
- 5+ years engineering experience.
- C++ experience.
- TypeScript experience.
- A mind that has spent some time in the circuit proof problem domain space.
- Development experience with Ethereum.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
