Front End / Full-Stack Engineer

Sound is hiring a front-end / full-stack engineer to help build and maintain our user-facing suite of tools. This includes our core song and artist pages for listening parties, Web3 economic tools (NFTs, splits), community management tools, governance and membership tools to empower the next wave of crypto-native artists and their communities. You will also contribute to R&D for completely new product lines and experiments.

Responsibilities

Build delightful user experiences with an eye towards performance and accessibility. Build reusable components, write unit & integration tests, and continually raise the code quality and developer experience bar. Build for mobile-friendly experiences. Experiment with animation libraries and push the edge for what a next generation social music experience should feel like.

React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Vercel, Jest

Requirements

• Familiarity with React and Typescript
• Ability to write well tested, performant code
• Curiosity to pick up new tools and technologies
• Desire to continually improve code quality and development experience

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js
• Experience with GraphQL
• Full-stack experience (NodeJS)
• Familiarity with the web3 frontend stack
• Prior experience creating a design system or component library
• Degree in computer science
