Front-End Developer - Remote

Concordium has developed and launched a blockchain technology made for the future economy, which focusses on qualities such as compliance, cost efficiency, transparency, accountability and concern for the environment. As an integral part of the blockchain project, Concordium has developed and launched its own crypto currency, the CCD, which is listed on several crypto exchanges. Concordium is deeply rooted in science, and the Tech team works closely with the blockchain research group COBRA at Aarhus University and ETH Zurich. It is the first blockchain with identification built into the protocol to meet regulatory requirements. It also has the ability to build fully decentralized applications for the web using Rust-based smart contracts. Job Description

Concordium is looking for a front-end developer responsible for the development and maintenance of front-end projects aimed at the web and multiple devices. Your primary focus will be development of the front-end and UI/UX for the Concordium web wallet plus building UI components from wireframes and designs. You will have a great eye for quality design and a natural interest in delivering the best UX for the users. You will be working closely with other developers, so a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is important.

Key responsibilities

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
• Design and build the front-end of applications for the web and other platforms (based on web technologies)
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Qualifications

• Academic degree in IT, Engineering or similar
• 5+ years of work experience in a similar role
• Proficient with HTML, CSS, JS/TS and UI/UX design and implementation
• Experience with JS frameworks such as React or Vue etc.
• Experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind etc. and responsive design
• Familiarity with APIs and integration with backend services of the application
• Test and debugging comes naturally as part of delivering quality products
• Fluent in browser developer tools and code inspection and analysis
• Experience with mobile app (iOS/Android) front-end development is a benefit
• Knack for benchmarking and optimization of performance
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration
