FP&A Manager

Kava Labs is a Layer 1 Blockchain company with a 100% distributed workforce with teams in the US, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. While distributed, you will work alongside a team of world class crypto experts on an open-source project that transfers millions of dollars in assets daily, providing the financial primitives for the next evolution in crypto. We are hiring for a FP&A Manager, who will own Kava’s full cycle budget and planning process. As our first FP&A hire, you will be a cross-functional business partner, with key initiatives including forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and partnering with business leaders to ensure departments are operating within budget. This is a US-based, full-time, remote position. 

What You Will Do.

• Develop and Oversee the budget planning process: partner with leaders to create a new budget model from the ground up, maintain alignment of department spend requests, monthly variance analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommended paths forward
• Reporting and reconciliation of Revenue transactions: Convert Token information into projected activity, forecast the operational needs of the business to a financial model, reconciliation and reporting of token balances and activity on a monthly/quarterly basis
• Create the framework for analytics and reporting: standardize the cadence of outputs for reporting, organize financials by department, create a functional model in Excel that ties P&L, Cashflow, Balance Sheet together, create dynamic models with built in calculations to provide real time results
• Compile and Present Financial Data: convert models into high level, presentable data to provide analytical and financial insights to the executive leadership team

Who You Are.

• 5+ years of experience in working through a full cycle annual planning process
• 5+ years of building dynamic financial models to incorporate P&L, Cashflow/Cash Projections, and Balance Sheet 
• 4+ years of Revenue & Market Analytics
• 5+ year Scenario Modeling
• 5+ years of compiling financial packages 
• 3+ years of presenting on financials and analytical data for an executive leadership team
• Strong communicator and collaborator with a proven record of cross-functional leadership
• Experience working in Fintech, SAAS, Technology, Investment Banking
• You have an interest in blockchain, crypto, and decentralized technologies. A willingness to learn is a must.
