Coinbase Germany is looking for a Finance Manager to perform detailed accounting, finance and reporting support for Coinbase Germany Gmbh. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance (EU) and working closely with the Country Manager, Germany the ideal employee will be responsible for the oversight of all regulatory, financial and management reporting for Coinbase Germany Gmbh. The successful candidate will work closely with the Coinbase General Ledger and Accounting Team based in Dublin, and our centralised Global Financial and Regulatory Reporting team based in the US. We are looking for a candidate who has a positive attitude and is highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast paced multi-task oriented environment. This position will play a crucial role in meeting our regulatory, financial and tax reporting obligations in Germany. You will work and collaborate closely with many stakeholders across the organization, including regulatory compliance, finance, and data, tax, treasury and operations

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Prepare and coordinate quarterly and ad-hoc regulatory reports for BaFin and Bundesbank
• Assist with internal, external and regulatory audits.
• Work with Coinbase Global Controllership to ensure Coinbase Germany activity is recorded correctly in our books and records under applicable local accounting standards
• Prepare annual financial statements
• Work with Coinbase Tax and external tax advisors to ensure all required filings are completed accurately and on time
• Ensure all corporate filings (eg audited financial statements) are completed accurately and on time
• Draft and maintain reporting & regulatory policies and procedures and ensure compliance with key controls
• Prepare Monthly Management reporting for the Country Manager
• Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the reporting process.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• 7+ years experience.
• BaFin regulated regulatory reporting experience
• HGB, RechCredV, FinaRisikoV experience
• Self-motivated and able to multitask
• Desire to work in a fast growing and agile business
• Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail
• Enjoys working in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in in both German and English

Nice to haves:

• Experience with reporting tools, such as Workiva and Netsuite.
• Experience with IFRS and / or US GAAP
• Google Suite experience
