WalletConnect is the open-source web3 standard to connect blockchain wallets to dapps. Started in 2018, our mission is to make web3 accessible to everyone. Every month, millions of people use WalletConnect in over 300 integrations. We’re looking for a full-time developer advocate to join our team to onboard developers into web3. To help grow web3, we are gearing up to launch WalletConnect 2.0 with new features, including multi-chain support, a decentralized back-end, faster connections, and 10x performance and scalability. The Role

As our first developer advocate and member of the Wallet connect team, you will be responsible for engaging with developers directly that join our community and also helping out guide existing developers to use WalletConnect SDKs. The ideal candidate is immersed in blockchain and is passionate about developer relationships and education.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Run workshops for developers on WalletConnect and general web3 development
• Develop educational material
• Write articles and create tutorials
• Represent WalletConnect online via Telegram, Discord and Twitter
• Work with the rest of the team to organize virtual events.
• Improve our documentation.
• Respond to Github issues and discussions
• Create and execute developer adoption strategies
• Our documentation will be the backbone of the developer experience and you will be able to cater it to provide the best onboarding experience to developers not just to WalletConnect but also to Web3 in general.
• Ownership of our Discord community and gathering feedback about our developer experience.

Must have:

• Experience as a software developer
• Expertise with web development
• Good writing skills
• Great communication skills
• Working knowledge of web3 technologies

Nice to have:

• Crypto / Blockchain development experience preferable
• Experience with WalletConnect
• Discord moderation experience
• Comfortable working with Github
