About Midnight:

IOG's Midnight Tribe is a business technology provider and core contributor to the Midnight Network, a blockchain platform for developing decentralized applications that safeguard personal and commercial data. The Midnight Network is the first blockchain to offer programmable data isolation by leveraging zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs to enable selective disclosure of what information is visible on-chain and is designed to help developers implement necessary business policies, such as meeting regulatory requirements.

What the role involves:

As the Design Lead at Midnight, you will champion design and support the creative process across a wide variety of projects,, along with being our brand champion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative design and marketing, with a passion for blockchain technology as well as experience in research, prototyping, branding, and cross-functional collaboration.

As an exceptionally talented Designer, you will add your own magic to our content and deliver solutions across a variety of briefs and sectors. You will also have strong attention to detail, and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate creative direction to stakeholders across the organization

• You will be responsible for leading and executing creative that effectively communicate and promote Midnight’s products and initiatives across all aspects and areas of the business.
• You will mentor designers of all levels (both internal and external to Midnight), and work with cross-functional teams to bring Midnight’s vision to life.
• Create, define and maintain the visual brand standards for Midnight, its products, sub-brands and initiatives.
• Stay current on design trends and technologies, and make recommendations to enhance the design process and output.
• Lead workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to bring design concepts to life.
• Continuously explore and implement new design practices and patterns, leveraging creative problem-solving techniques to address complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions. 
• Uses creativity from a wider perspective in terms of re-framing problems and approaches. 
• Ensure that all design work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Who you are:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in design, with a focus on digital marketing, branding and interactive design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, marketing, or a related field 
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects
• Master of Adobe Creative Suite 
• Proficiency in Figma, Miro and prototyping tools 
• Knowledge of Product Design, Motion, Web3 and AI
• Passion for blockchain technology and its potential impact on society
• Able to define the overall approach to Creative/Design within Midnight including initiatives, priorities, delivery and future of the function at an organizational level.
• Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing, multi-disciplinary design team. Inspire and empower team members to achieve their fullest potential and contribute to Midnight’s success.
• A deep understanding of the importance in having a strong design culture throughout the whole of Midnight, both internal and external.
• Experience interacting with and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Being Midnight’s ‘Design Leader’ you are able to inspire and motivate the team and get everyone moving in the same direction creatively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Midnight’s brand vision and design concepts align with broader business objectives, delivering strategic value and supporting business case development.
• Is responsible for leading a team toward achieving brand and strategic initiatives throughout all creative and design touch-points.
• Experience creating marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, infographics, social media content, and web design.
• Contribute to holistic thinking around strategy and creative points of view on a brand experience, including how a business acts, how a brand looks, or how a vision comes to life through a customer’s entire experience.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple design projects simultaneously managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Positive attitude and strong team player mentality
