Founded by professors from Hong Kong University of Sciaence and Technology and Tel Aviv University (formerly from Cornell University and Boston University), VirtuSwap builds a new kind of decentralized exchange, based on superior technology that makes trading significantly more efficient than the existing products. Our solution allows trading on an AMM-based DEX at substantially lower costs, while simultaneously increasing expected profits to liquidity providers. VirtuSwap is going to revolutionize the DEX market by bringing the costs of trading on it closer to or even below the costs of trading on CEXes – which is a requirement for wider adoption of DEXes and DeFi in general. The project has been backed by leading investors in the space, including prominent VCs and founders of first-tier projects. As Data Scientist, you will become a core team member at VirtuSwap, working closely with the founding team to conduct research and develop the company’s technology.

Responsibilities

• Performing quantitative research of DEX and CEX transactions on existing platforms
• Designing the relevant data pipelines
• Building and running simulations and analyzing results
• Designing and implementing ML/AI models aimed at optimizing the system parameters based on external and internal data
• Developing next versions of the core technology

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned data scientist experienced in analyzing trading data on traditional or crypto markets and proficient in developing advanced optimization models.

Required qualifications

• BA in math, Statistics or CS; Masters or PhD is preferred
• 4+ years of proven experience in Data Science
• Working knowledge of databases, experience with SQL language
• Experience and strong command of Python and Matlab/R
• Experience in developing data models related to trading
• Experience in defining data pipelines
• Experience in working with AWS or Google Cloud Services stack - a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
