We are looking for a collaborative and influential Data Architect for our Head Office to be based out of our Toronto, Vancouver, Denver, Edmonton, Calgary, or Houston branch to lead a data-first culture internally and externally! You will work cross-functionally between groups, bridging, and often leading, data-driven solutions across the Microsoft Analytics stack. 

A Day in the Life:

• Work with internal and external stakeholders driving value through Microsoft’s Analytics stack, inclusive of Power BI, Dataverse, and accompanying Azure technologies
• Ensure solution design, and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challenges
• Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, and back-end services for real-time decisioning, reporting, optimization, data modelling, and related activities
• Develop and deploy an automated unit, and integrated test scripts via Azure DevOps
• Experiment with, recommend, and collaborate with other team members to develop and enhance the technology stack
• Develop, design, and present new solution offerings to support sales, and pre-sales activities across verticals

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of experience working as a developer and subject matter expert in data analytics
• 5+ years of experience advising, architecting, and successfully delivering cloud data and analytics solutions
• Proven success in data modelling, DAX experience, data visualization, report and dashboard design
• Relevant experience with the following: Databricks, Azure LogicApps, Azure Resource Manager and PowerShell, other Azure products including Cognitive Services, Stream Analytics, Delta Lake, IoT Hub Event Hub, Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance
• Proficient with SQL and general database administration
• More than one of the following: Python, Scala, Spark, R, TSQL, PLSQL
• Experienced across the following: Power BI including Data Flows, Data Sets, Data Models, Power Platform (Dataflex, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agent), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse, Large scale data sets, DataOps principles, Datastores including data warehouses, RDBMSs, in-memory caches, Lambda and Lakehouse architecture principles

What Makes You Extra Awesome:

• A proven ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders to elicit/understand requirements, define the high-level business case the solution provides, lead architectural design sessions, define implementation approaches, guide customers’ decision making to ensure implemented solutions are sustainable
• Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum
• Proficiency with Power Automate and Power Agent is an added asset
